Back in September Clare and I were spending the weekend in the North Georgia Mountains. The weather had turned cooler and the sky was clear blue and cloudless. We started thinking about how much we love Fall, and, more importantly, what should be the focus of our Fall Newsletter.
As we were riding around Ellijay we saw that the apples were just coming to market. We stopped and sampled what was available bought some incredible Mutsu apples from a nearby orchard. This was to become the inspiration for this season's celebration.
We have one page devoted to America's best selling apples, with pictures, descriptions and uses. Another page is filled with some delicious apple recipes. We have recipes for apple drinks and a page about hiking safety thrown in for good measure.
Enjoy the crisp air, and the beautiful leaves and America's favorite fruit!

With Halloween right around the corner we have prepared a list of games with harvest in mind. Of course everyone has heard of bobbing for apples, but what about a corn shucking race, or a wheelbarrow race with real wheelbarrows?
